Several events are planned throughout the weekend in memory of Precious Alex, 15. A candlelight vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday on the 600 block of North Flower Street, where police say the teenager was fatally shot through an apartment window while sleeping in her bedroom the morning of April 1. Sunday, a car wash fundraiser is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mountain View Boys and Girls Club on Price Street, followed by a rally and walk through the neighborhood at 2 p.m. and “speakers and entertainment” at the Mountain View Community Center at 3 p.m. Three people were arrested on a variety of murder and assault charges in connection with Alex’s death.
