Do you know how to get to the Alaska Museum of Science and Nature?
The Mountain View institution is asking for new road signs to help direct visitors; a request that received unanimous support at Monday’s Mountain View Community Council meeting.
Housed in a repurposed warehouse on North Bragaw Street, the natural history museum features Alaska flora and fauna, scientific presentations and plenty of kid-friendly, interactive exhibits. But the only signs for the museum are in front of the building itself: There is nothing to point the way for people passing through the neighborhood or driving by on the Glenn Highway. Here’s the full text of the MVCC resolution passed Monday.
