The first racers appeared a little after 9:30 a.m., following an Anchorage Police Department cruiser down Irwin Street toward the Mountain View Community Center. Hundreds of people followed, flooding down the middle of the road.

A fundraiser for the neighborhood Boys & Girls Club, the seventh annual Faster Than a Falcon 5k led runners on a winding course through Mountain View Saturday morning. The race started and finished across the street from Lions Park. This is what it looked like along the way (the timelapse version).
