A man was injured after a shooting at an apartment party on the 800 block of North Lane Street early Sunday morning, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
In a written statement, APD said officers received to the first calls about the shooting around 1:48 a.m. Shots were fired by at least two people there, witnesses told police. Video captured at the scene showed a person hanging out the passenger side window of an older model sedan, firing into a crowd of people as the car drove away. At 1:55 a.m., a man who had been at the party was dropped off at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to his leg, police said.
While most of the people had left the party by the time officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, police found multiple shell casings on the ground outside, according to APD.
The shooting remains under investigation, no arrests had been made as of Sunday morning and anyone with information is asked to call APD dispatch at 311, police said.
