A penny carnival featuring an inflatable bounce house, cupcake walk and free throw station is set to take place next Saturday at Mountain View Lions Park.

The July 19 carnival — organized by the Alaska Music Leaders Association — kicks off at 1 p.m. At 5 p.m., according to the event’s website, there’s a family relay competition featuring prizes for the top three teams. Sponsors include Maximum Productions, Paparazzi Kids and the Crazy Hair Lady, and AMLA said the carnival is still seeking sponsors and volunteers.
