Kriner’s Burgers & Pies, one of the latest businesses to open its doors in Mountain View, is making progress on construction at its location in Glenn Square.

The restaurant is owned by the Kriner family, which also runs a popular midtown diner. The latest venture is set to open its doors later this year across the parking lot from the new Bass Pro Shops outlet, joining neighboring businesses like Eva’s Cupcakery and Xalos Mexican Grill. It marks one less empty storefront for the shopping center, which has had trouble finding tenants since its construction in 2007.

Now, besides the outdoor emporium and a new craft brewery planned nearby, the commercial corridor is also preparing to welcome the neighborhood’s first burger joint.
