Update: According to employees at the new Skechers location, the opening has been pushed back to June 9.

The latest in a string of restaurants and retailers to open up shop in Mountain View, Skechers is on track to go into business at Glenn Square next month.

The store will open for business June 5, according to public relations manager Lauren Dutko. It’s the shoe company’s first Alaska location, and one of more than 1,000 stores worldwide. Set to join fellow Glenn Square newcomers Baked Alaska Alehouse and Yogurt Lounge, Skechers marks the first major national chain to come to the Mountain View shopping center since Alaska’s first Bass Pro Shops Outpost opened there last summer.
