On Labor Day afternoon, you can hear Mountain View Lions Park before you see it.
There’s music playing from an ice cream truck parked on the street amongst a crowd of customers; conversations from barbecues and family picnics under the trees; a boisterous volleyball game, a kickball match and some pickup basketball. Kids’ shouts echo across the playground and mix with another sound from the other side of the park — yelping, barking, howling dogs.
It’s Alaska Dogs Gone Wild, Anchorage’s first flyball club, practicing in the outfield.
