Art on display at a Mountain View First Friday event this month includes a giant portrait made with bottle caps and paintings by a number of Alaskans. 

The collective known as DIASPORA is hosting a reception at Resolution Brewing’s taproom at 3024 Mountain View Drive today from 5-8 p.m.

The group features artists James Temte, Holly Nordlum, Apayo Moore, Gretchen Sagan, Ryan Romer, Sarah Whalen, Rochelle Adams, Eve Ulimaugauraq Mendenhall, Brons Olanna and Drew Michael, who both work out of a studio up the street.
