As the growing season comes to a close, Fresh International Gardens is planning a u-pick harvest day at the community garden on McPhee Avenue.
The event is open to the public and scheduled to take place Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 3-6 p.m. Produce will be discounted by weight, according to the garden operators.
The community garden, located at 4504 McPhee Ave., is cultivated every summer by growers with Catholic Social Services’ Refugee Assistance and Immigration Services, who sell their produce at farmers markets around Anchorage.
