Mountain View Boys and Girls Club says goodbye to Mr. C

Mr. C is moving away.

Carnard Davis, a beloved staff member at the Mountain View Boys and Girls Club, made the announcement in a Monday post on the club Facebook page: After nearly a decade in the community, he said, he will be moving south to be with family.

Hello, my Anchorage family. It is true that I will be relocating to Atlanta to help my siblings with care for our mother. This is a bittersweet post for me because for 8+years I have been so dedicated and hands-on with the Mountain View Community. Being there for so many families and ensuring that their children had a safe, fun, and educational place to go after school is what I have done religiously, and it has been a blessing to me! The Boys & Girls Club mission is everything I embody and have manifested throughout the community. The vision to empower and inspire the diverse youth of Alaska to reach their full potential, and offering them hope, opportunity in a safe environment has been my assignment from God! When I got the job. I fell down on my neeze, and said lord why has thou forsaken me? He said Carnard, you are no earthly good at all unless you grab this opportunity, and do whatever you have to, ( and he didn’t say CARNARD be polite) do whatever you have to, to transform, and transmogrify this clubhouse into a better place! Where hearts, souls and minds of the young can rise! Where they can grow tall and blossom Out from under the shadows of the past generations! Where the minds of the young are set free. I gave my word to God that I would not FAIL!
Now all of the love and respect I’ve received from every parent and every child is priceless! Thank you for everything!
Love Always!
Mr. C
