The Mountain View Boys and Girls Club’s Keystone Club is planning a rally against gun violence, scheduled to take place Saturday, Oct. 13 beginning at noon at the neighborhood clubhouse at 315 Price St.
The cause is near and dear to club members’ hearts, said BGC teen coordinator Carnard Davis.
“When we started Keystone, the first thing I asked them was, ‘What are you passionate about? What in the community would you like to change?’ And the first thing that came out of there mouths was, ‘Gun violence,'” Davis said at Monday’s Mountain View Community Council meeting. “So that’s what we’re going to tackle, because I’m sick of it myself, and I’m quite sure that everyone else in the community is.”
