October 19

  • The Mountain View Neighborhood Library (120 Bragaw St.) is hosting its Fall Job Fair 12-3 p.m. Oct. 19. Organizers ask participants to bring all applicable employment documents. Click here for more information, or contact library manager David Adkins-Brown at 907-343-2919.

October 26

  • Anchorage Health & Human Services is providing free flu shots at schools and libraries around Anchorage — including the Mountain View Neighborhood Library Oct. 26 from 2-5 p.m. Click here for a full schedule.

October 31

  • Mountain View Hope Covenant Church is hosting a Halloween Trunk or Treat event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in the Mountain View Farmers Market lot at 3543 Mountain View Dr. The event is free for kids of all ages. Click here for details.

November 12

  • The Mountain View Community Council holds its regularly scheduled meetings at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Mountain View Boys and Girls Club (315 Price St.). Click here for details.

November 19

  • The Food Bank of Alaska’s annual Thanksgiving Blessing, which provides holiday meals to thousands of families around Anchorage, is scheduled to take place in Mountain View at the Mountain View Boys and Girls Club on Nov. 19 from 12-8 p.m. Attendees must have a 99508 or 99514 and bring proof of address to participate. November 22

  • The Mountain View Shell offers a free Thanksgiving lunch to customers and passersby on Thursday, Nov. 22, from 12:30-5:30 p.m.

December 10

  • The Mountain View Community Council is hosting a community holiday potluck from 6-8 p.m. at the Mountain View Service Center, 161 Klevin St. Click here for more information.

December 16

  • Featuring hay rides, caroling, hot chocolate, popcorn, sledding and dog sledding (weather permitting), a Mountain View Winter Festival is scheduled to take place December 16 from 2-4 p.m. at Mountain View Elementary School.
