There were no reports of injuries — and no arrests — following gunfire in Mountain View early Tuesday morning.
A spokeswoman for the Anchorage Police Department said the call first came in just before 4:30 a.m., when a volley of shots rang out in the area of Irwin Street and Thompson Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing a black vehicle open fire on a white sedan. When officers arrived at the scene, however, APD said they discovered one shell casing and not much else. Police said no suspects were identified.
It’s the third report of gunshots in the neighborhood in a little more than a week.
Sept. 15, one person was injured following another incident of gunfire near Richmond Avenue and Taylor Street, and officers found bullet holes in apartments a few blocks away following a different report earlier that same evening.
APD said no arrests were made in connection with those two calls, either.
